About
Moritz is an enthusiastic, open-minded and creative aerospace engineering
graduate with a great passion for propulsion systems, aircraft systems and
(hybrid) electric aviation.
Recently, Moritz completed his master's degree in aerospace engineering at
the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and is now looking for a fitting
career entry in order to achieve his goal of making flying more environmentally
friendly and helping to make the world a better place. As his most recent
academic achievement, Moritz finalized his master's thesis on the topic of:
"Modeling and Simulation of a Hybrid Electric Engine Architecture for a
Military Flight System" in which he explored, modeled and simulated different
propulsion and power supply systems for a military surveillance drone in
cooperation with IABG mbH and MTU Aero Engines AG.
During his studies Moritz was also active in a variety of different working
student positions. As a working student at IABG mbH in Ottobrunn he specialized
on the numerical simulation of civil and military aircraft engines in NPSS
(Numerical Propulsion System Simulation) and programming of different calculations
and visualizations in MATLAB. He also took part in testing campaigns for future
polishing and coating techniques for high-pressure compressor blades for aircraft
engines during his time at MTU Aero Engines AG in Munich. These diverse
experiences have made him an engineering all-rounder, an adaptable team-player
and a fast learner.
Moritz has also lived in New York for four years.
Outside of the professional engineering environment, Moritz enjoys driving
and restoring his 1965 Volvo Amazon, managing his small film lab ‘Full Frame
Fotolabor’, shooting analog photography and rowing.
